The preferred method for stopping a running CIUMon service is to use CIUMon Controller. However, if you cannot stop the service with CIUMon controller for any reason, there are other methods. In order of preference, from best to worst, the possible ways to stop a CIUMon service are:

• with CIUMon Service Controller
• with CIUMon modify service properties
• with Windows services manager

To stop a running CIUMon service with CIUMon Service Controller

1. Start CIUMon Service Controller.
2. In the list of services, click the service that you wish to stop.
3. Click Stop Service.

To stop a running CIUMon service from CIUMon

1. On CIUMon's Options menu, click Services.
2. In the Current Services list, click the service that you wish to stop.
3. Click Stop Service.

To stop a running CIUMon service with Windows services manager

1. Go into the Windows Control Panel, and, under Administrative Tools, start the Services control.
2. A list of services will appear in the right-hand pane. Right-click the CIUMon service that you wish to stop. Links titled Stop the service and Restart the service will appear.
3. Click the Stop the service link.
