On the File menu, click Send CIU Restart to restart your CIU. CIUMon will prompt you to provide details for the restart. The choices you make are stored in the configuration, so if you restart the CIU again from the same configuration, your previous choices will be used unless you change them.
Restarting the CIU requires detailed knowledge of your system. You should only restart the CIU under the guidance of your INFI 90 expert.
You can only restart your CIU this way if CIUMon is directly connected to it. In relay mode or collector mode, the option to restart your CIU will not appear.
Option | Default | Effect |
---|---|---|
Watchdog Timer | Off | If the watchdog timer is enabled, then when the CIU doesn't receive commands for the interval specified, it assumes the host (CIUMon) is offline and becomes secondary (offline) itself. You should not enable this if you expect to have long intervals with live data monitoring turned off. |
Primary CIU | On | Enables the CIU to send and receive loop messages from other nodes. Do not turn this off. |
Options - Override value to send | Off | Override the options byte generated by CIUMon from the options selected. If you know the specific value to send, you can enter it here (in decimal). |
Additional Options - Override value to send | Off | Override the additional options byte generated by CIUMon from the options selected. If you know the specific value to send, you can enter it here (in decimal). This is only available for CIUs which use an additional options byte. |
Other options | Off | All other options depend on your setup and require good knowledge of your CIU to set. Your INFI 90 expert will tell you what settings to use. |
