CIUMon should have less impact on your computer's performance when it is run automatically. When it is run manually, it will have less impact on performance when it is minimized.

You can also reduce the amount of resources CIUMon uses by lowering it's priority. Lowering the priority will improve computer performance at the expense of CIUMon performance.
