Using command line options

BuildPlus has a variety of command line options to allow you to run your builds automatically or from an MS-DOS prompt.

The basic syntax of the commands is: <INSTALLED_PROGRAM_LOCATION>\BUILDPLUS.EXE /<BUILDSTAGE_SWITCH> <BUILD_DIRECTORY>

Frequently used switches include:

/build project [build options] - to build a project with certain options
/compile project - to run the MediaView compiler on versions of DBDOC older than 11.0.
/buildall [buildroot(s)] [buildall options] [build options] - to build the projects within specified buildroots with certain options.

With /build or /buildall, other options can be chosen, including /MOC for Management of Change options and other command line switches

Older versions of DBDOC contained the /RAW, /PRE and /CFG command line switches, which have been replaced by /build.
