You can add text to Watch Window timestamps, similar to making an annotation.
To add a text note to a timestamp
- Click the pencil button beside the delete button in the yellow box at the top of the timestamp.
- Right-click the yellow timestamp box. On the menu that appears, click Add/Edit Timestamp Note
The note has two parts: a short description or title, and a text area. Once a note is added, the title is always shown, but you can hide
the details text by doing one of the following:
- Click the triangle next to the note title in the yellow timestamp box.
- Right-click the yellow timestamp box. On the menu that appears, click Expand Note or Hide Note.
To hide or expand the details for all of the notes in a watch group, do one of the following:
- In the View menu, click Hide All Timestamp Notes or Expand All Timestamp Notes.
- Right click a group tab. On the menu that appears, click Hide All Timestamp Notes or Expand All Timestamp Notes.
You can always see the details by mousing over the timestamp, either in the main plot, or in the navigation plot below.
