Making sure you can get data from CIUMon

Once you have configured CIUMon to connect to your CIU, you should test it to make sure your configuration works. The best end-to-end test is to connect Hyperview and make sure you can get data.

1. If the Options window is still open, click OK to close it.
2. On the File menu, click Connect. CIUMon should display some information, including your CIU's ring and node. The word "OK" should appear in green, on a line by itself.
3. Using Hyperview, check to make sure you can access live data. See Live Data Configuration in Hyperview and Displaying Slow Mode live data in Hyperview.
4. Once CIUMon is connected to your CIU, you may wish to:
   • Run CIUMon automatically (as a service)
   • Build the connection settings into your project
