Wizard
1. Improved Default Selections
Wizard now preselects more of the file choices based on the type of project (Composer, Conductor NT, etc.) that is being built. This should help in ensuring that the proper files be selected in order to get a complete build.
2. Alternate User Graphics Path for Composer Projects
For those with Composer systems, DBDOC extracts many of the user graphics (.DIS files) from the EBP file. However, they may wish to incorporate existing graphics with their build. Wizard provides you with the opportunity to choose those files not extracted in the build process to be included in the M14.

BuildPlus
1. CAD/CLD Titles in Composer
BuildPlus will parse the CLDNames.map file, which is generated during the build, to extract CAD sheet titles and insert them into the CFG file. This will mean improved titles for the CAD sheets in the final M14.
2. Configurator Incorporated into BuildPlus
Configurator, which was previously a stand alone program, has now been incorporated into BuildPlus. This will result in faster processing and more direct messaging.
3. Improved Batch File Handling
UNT files found in the same location of the B90 files, determines the loop, PCU and module.
4. Retain Block Indices from Previous Runs
Block indices which are inserted into the CFG file are now kept in a separate file named BLOCK.SAV. On subsequent reruns, this file will be appended to the PRE file thus eliminating the need for multiple Hyperlink runs to re-insert the indices.
5. Include Verify Files that Exist with Ladder Files
Verify files that are found in the same directory where ladder files exist will now be included in the build.
6. New DBDOC_SUMMARY.ERR
BuildPlus now generates a new error file called DBDOC_SUMMARY.ERR. This is composed of filtered versions of COMPOSER.ERR (when building a Composer project) and DBDOC.ERR, where the status messages have been removed, leaving only the error messages to be analyzed.
7. DR2DT Tool Does Full Rebuild of SODG
The "Graphics Conversion DR2DT" tool now performs a full rebuild of all graphics and symbols rather than just doing an update of out-of-date files.
8. New Menu Features
A new "Build" menu option has been added which has the same functionality as the build toolbar buttons.
Under the "Tools" menu, there is a new option, "Add CIUMON Settings". The user is able to add or delete live loop settings for CIUMON monitoring at anytime after the intial build. Once the settings have been added, the user must rebuild from RAW, PRE or CFG in order to see their changes in the M14 file.

Hyperlink
1. Improved Error Messages
Hyperlink now generates messages:
a. to alert the user to blocks found which do not have any source.
b. on error message "Unknown line type 255: using solid" now also reports symbol and coordinates.
As well, some messages have been reformatted for clarity.
2. Remove References to Blocks 0 to 9 in Ladder
References to Blocks 0 to 9 on ladder drawings have been removed since they are known constants and do not require links.
3. Better Hotspots for Function Codes 63 and 64
Hotspots have been added to the 8 ladder inputs for the both function codes to link them to their source blocks.
4. Visible Specs for Function Code 69
Formerly invisible specs are now shown.
5. Embedded Quotes Now Accepted in CFG File
Embedded quotes found in CAD titles and subtitles in the CFG file were previously skipped and would generate an error message reporting such. Hyperlink is now able to handle these titles correctly.
6. Line Numbers in Batch Files
Line numbers are now written to the rtf file in batch processing so that when the B90 file is viewed in Hyperview, the line numbers will show up for easier tracing.

Hyperview
1. Checkbox for No Color Reversal in Printing
For those users who have SODG graphics or Conductor graphics with white backgrounds, they may wish to check off the option "No color reversal" in the print dialog box so that they do not get black backgrounds printed.
2. Zoom Box Coordinates
The status bar is updated with coordinates and the zoom box is being dragged.

CIUMON
1. SPM02 Handling
CIUMON is now able to correctly handle its operation with the SPM02 units for correct data retrieval.

2. Text Files
Some corrections in compiling text files were made.
3. Add Description to Tag Documents
Hyperlink now adds a description to tag documents which results in additional information being shown in Hyperview.
4. Hotspots for Vector_Button
5. Text Alignment Corrections
Some corrections were made for the right justification of text.
6. Additional Messages
More messages have been added to the DBDOC.ERR file. A message listing submodels which could not be found by Hyperlink but are needed to complete a Conductor graphic has been added. There is also an additional message indicating tags that are referenced on graphics which cannot be found in the database.

Hyperview
1. Audit Windows
The print/save feature of Audit Window support now includes the title of the document.
2. Topic Search
The topic search now lists intermediate results, so you can select from the tentative results. This makes calling up documents or tag records easier by reducing the amount of typing needed.

BuildPlus
1. CIUMON Settings
The entered CIUMON parameters are now saved when BuildPlus runs. This means that you do not have to enter them again if you rerun the Wizard.

2. DBDMB Problem Support
A circumstance has been observed where the DAO 3.5 (Data Access Object) support available on a client computer is unable to do the extraction run by DBMDB.VBS. In this case, BuildPlus now will stop further processing rather than continue.
If DBMDB fails, you have two choices. You can use ABB tools to extract the tag and trend databases, then use the Wizard to point at the .DBF files. The other choice is to install the DBDOC Build Kit on another computer and try to make the build work there, at least until TAGS.DBF has been created. You can then put TAGS.DBF on the original build system and rerun the Wizard to find it.

3. Hyperlink Failure Message
If Hyperlink fails to make the file DBDOC.MVP, it is now entered into DBDOC.ERR and the build terminated.

4. New Features for /buildall from command line
If BuildPlus is run from the command line with the /buildall switch, all known projects will be rebuilt from the RAW stage. At the completion of each project build, the DBDOC.M14 file that was created will be automatically renamed to _ followed by a letter, eg. TESTBUILD_20000922a.M14.

As well, BuildPlus will create a BuildAll.log in the \GMCL\DBDOC directory which will list all the projects that it attempted to build and whether it was successful or not. Successful builds will list the M14 files available; unsuccessful builds will write a message to indicate at what stage the build failed.

5. Dialog Box for Rename Function
BuildPlus now gives you the option of renaming the DBDOC.M14 file to a name of your choosing by bringing up a dialog box listing the existing file names with an edit box where you can enter your choice for the new name of the DBDOC.M14 file.

Wizard
1. What's This
The Wizard has had support added for contextual help. This refers to the feature of clicking on the question mark to trigger "What's This" support, then putting the cursor over a feature. The information presented about the feature should be helpful.

v

DR2DT
1. Conversion Suppressed if Source Older than Result
The build system now takes advantage of a feature added to DR2DT which checks if the .DT file is newer than its source and avoids converting the source file to text if so. This speeds up the builds.
2. Delete Files That Have No Source
Unless the DBDOC_NOSOURCE option is used, if a .DT file is not created by source in the source directory, it will be deleted. This supports systems that are making revisions by making old graphics disappear from DBDOC when their source disappears.

General INFI90 Support Changes introduced June 3, 2000 (20000526)
1. CIUMON Specification at Build - eliminate user entries in Hyperview.
2. Demo Default Change
3. Duplicate Output Definitions and Off-Module References
4. Digital Tag Types - display outputs as digital values correctly.
5. FoxPro and Access Database Support - added through BuildPlus.
6. Configurator Support for FTCONFIG
7. Scanned Tag Support on Hyperlink - partially automatic scanning.
8. Off-Module References for Ladder - implemented.
9. Important HYPERVIEW Browser Improvements
10. New BuildPlus System - complete control of builds in one task.
11. CIULINK Data Collection - new feature to collect block data.
12. CIUMON - Now logs all information into a file for debugging.

CONDUCTOR NT Draft Support
This version adds handling of placement of elements with negative coordinates, corrects the font handling and brings in full links to database tags. Actual values are not yet fetched from the database or the CIU for most fields. Trends are still not supported.

General INFI90 Support
1. Wizard Improved and Rerunnable
The Wizard program has had significant changes. The user screens are determined by the choices of subsystem. SODG and Conductor NT graphics can be supported simultaneously.
The Wizard has been made rerunnable, with the user entries and selections maintained for subsequent runs. This makes it much easier to make minor changes that might affect the registry keys for the project, plus the files that are selected.
2. Compiler Supports AutoCAD 2000
The Hyperlink compiler now supports AutoCAD 2000 .DWG files. However, it does this by translating them into Version 14 .DXF files, so may not handle new features until we have run into them.
3. Compiler Error Checking
Significant error checking of the CAD files has been added.
- Adapt references to an already adapted specification
- Adapt references to a block that does not exist
- Duplicate off-module references importing exception reports to module
- Duplicate sources for blocks
- Support for finding blocks imported from modules that do not exist
4. Access Database Digital Tagtypes supported
The tagtypes in TAGDATA.MDB have been added to the database support.
5. BuildPlus Improvements
BuildPlus and the Wizard allow the direct selection of CAD paths in many forms. We no longer need a single rule for the system to work. The BuildPlus system iterates to add index entries that we need, and to give assistance in finding entries that refer to modules that do not exist.
BuildPlus has additional menu options in this version. The user has the option of deleting an entire BuildRoot and all its projects from the menus and the registry. There are also variety of tools available for the experienced user to transform files without having a particular project open in the BuildPlus window.

General INFI90 Support - Previous Version
These changes / features support essentially all systems that use CAD and SODG graphics.
1. CIUMON Specification
To tell the HYPERVIEW browser to talk with a particular computer for a particular loop, the "ciumon" statement has been added. It looks like this:
ciumon loop,computeripaddress,port

As an example, the following statements would support two computers with CIUMON running on them.

ciumon 1,train1.ski.com,5099
ciumon 2,train2.ski.com,5098
Any HYPERVIEW browser opening up the M14 file will automatically configure the live loop display as directed.
The above would correspond to Loop 1 being handled by CIUMON running on computer train1.ski.com using port 5099 and Loop 2 being handled by CIUMON running on a second computer train2.ski.com using port 5098.

In order to avoid confusion, if you manually configure a CIUMON connection when the M14 file contains "ciumon" specifications, your manual configuration will not be retained when you close the hyperview browser. This is to prevent people from missing the fact that they have changed to a testbed, for example, then using DBDOC on what they think is the real system later.

2. Demo Default Change
The way that online access behaves has been changed. Now, there is no default to a demo situation - if you do not specify a CIUMON connection, you will get red boxes when you attempt to get data from the system.
If you wish to build a demo version of your project, put the following statement into the project.CFG file and rebuild:

ciumon demo,computername,0
Make sure (!) that you call the resulting version of DBDOC.M14 something that shows that it does not have real data, for example PM-DEMO.M14. Nobody wants to look at the demo data and think it is real.
Note: Be aware that if you have run hyperview before you may have demo configuration information in your dbdoc.ini file. This demo configuration will only be used in the case where you have compiled an M14 file without any configuration information in it. The order of precedence is that the compiled M14 information overrides the dbdoc.ini configuration information. Deleting the dbdoc.ini file is acceptable if you do not wish to preserve your user preferences; otherwise edit the dbdoc.ini file and remove the "NumberOfLoopEntries" and "LoopEntryn" lines.

3. Duplicate Output Definitions and Off-Module References
We have improved the error checking in processing of the CAD files.
We check for the definition of a block output value in more than one place and indicate the duplicate if it is found.
An important error is now detected by the DBDOC compiler. Multiple off-module references (AI/B, AI/L, AI/I and DI/B, DI/L, DI/I) are flagged for analysis. The documentation indicates that AI/L, AI/I, DI/L and DI/I duplication is incorrect. We have been told by people that AI/B and DI/B duplication is also a problem, but have not yet verified the fact.
The sheet references for inputs from other modules (and PCUs) has been corrected to be presented inside the input oval in AI/B-L-I and DI/B-L-I references.

4. Digital Tag Types
To flag digital values when the database is defined, we have added the "digital_tagtypes" statement, which should be added to the .RAW and .CFG files.

digital_tagtypes "RCM ","DIGITAL","MSDD ","DD ","DADIG ",
                                                      "DADIGTL","RMCB "

Adding this statement will make digital outputs show up as open blocks for a value of 0 and closed (green) blocks for a value of 1. Note that it should be all one long line and that each entry must be seven characters.

5. FoxPro and Access Database Support
Support has been implemented for FoxPro and Access databases in the new BuildPlus support system. Note that you should recreate the project using BuildPlus to implement this support. The FoxPro support is solid, but we have not had enough opportunites to build Access based systems to ensure that that all the Access support is reliable.

6. Configurator Support for FTCONFIG
In the special case of FTCONFIG created graphics, Configurator has been made to report the name of the graphic rather than report "FTCONFIG" as the title.

7. Scanned Tag Support on Hyperlink - partially automatic scanning.
Significant progress has been made on scanning for "scanned tags" in the Hyperlink compiler. In general, block numbers generated by the slaves are handled properly, although errors are still possible when the text is problematical.
When input block numbers are needed, the string "####" is generated to assist the user in putting the number in manually in the LPPMM.TAG file. This is a process that should only need to be done once.
To try scanning for tags, enable the statement "tagscan" in a build, which will result in \TAG\lppmm.tag files being generated. Comment out the "tagscan" statement to avoid having your edited files replaced.
Edit the files and use DBDOC to check for block numbers. You will have to make sure that the correct output block numbers are generated. In the case of input block numbers, DBDOC will allow you to find them and put them in the file, replacing the string "####" with appropriate block numbers.

8. Off-Module References for Ladder
Off-module references (AI/B-L-I and DI/B-L-I) have now been implemented for Ladder rungs. This completes the connection of Ladder diagrams to the CAD sheets.

9. Important HYPERVIEW Browser Improvements
Many improvements have been made in the browser. Some are listed here, but many minor changes have also been made.
- Search results are now sorted by module and can be printed.
- Improved analog / digital value presentation.
- Sockets code supporting exit has been corrected.
- Live loop displays have been corrected with respect to hotspots.
- Audit window position is retained on exit.

10. New BuildPlus System
This is the first release of BuildPlus, a program that replaces the set of icons that you have been using. It supports all the operations of the Visual Basic Scripting icons, but in a far superior way. The build is in a single window that you can scroll. The annoying indiviual DOS style windows are gone. This subsystem will make support of the DBDOC build system better and easier.

11. CIULINK Data Collection
CIULINK, created as the interface for EXCEL, now can serve as a stand-alone data collection process, albeit limited by the CIU traffic limits, that can gather data on any block at intervals down to .25 second. The data can be put into a file, and data is cached so you can select when you start the file. Bottom line is you can monitor a bunch of stuff, then, when the long awaited event happens, retain the history of what preceeded.
This is no substitute for either a full-blown history package like the PI system, DC-90 or others; nor for Digital Sequence of Events processing in the PCU. However, its ability to get at any block whether or not it is exception reported is useful.

12. CIUMON - Now logs all information into a file for debugging.

CONDUCTOR NT Draft Support
Conductor graphics are now allowed to spread anywhere on the page, and to be other than standard size. New links to tags have been added.
Significant changes were found when Conductor NT 2.3 was analyzed with respect to Conductor NT 1.2. We have resolved the components that we have access to and are ready to wrestle with the rest. Version 2.3 of Conductor NT is supported along with the earlier versions.
Currently, we have color definition aspects handled by using the client file colordef.dat. We have linkages to the source tags and are working on access to specified fields. We link to the file graphcfg.xdc for the mapping of graphics names to installed numbers. We have not yet implemented support for trendcfg.xdc but plan to do that when we can. Bitmaps remain to be handled. Does anybody use movies?
