How easy is DBDOC to maintain?

Very. Our BuildPlus system has been refined so that once you have one build done the way you like it, DBDOC can be rebuilt as often as you like with little effort. DBDOC rebuilds are usually automated to repeat at regular intervals. And with our extended warranty, help is just a phone call or email away.

Why should I purchase the DBDOC extended warranty?

These services and upgrades are available only with a current warranty:

  1. Free Upgrades - Access to all the features and improvements in DBDOC software (for the term of warranty). We are always adding new features and new quality assurance checks to help you identify possible issues and to cross check your system.
  2. Support for:
    • New versions of ABB software.
    • New versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems.

  4. New Personnel Support - When new people start working with DBDOC, we take the time to teach them and bring them up to speed.
  5. Basic Build Analysis - Send us your error.tgz file after a build for analysis. We can point you to possible issues in your system. Learn more about our build analysis...
  6. Advanced Build Analysis - If you wish to send us a copy of your system files, we can build it regularly and return insights on any possible issues we identify. Having your information on-hand also allows us to offer system analysis and issue identification superior to our basic build analysis.
  7. Feature Requests - We love to get feature requests. Tell us what you would like - maybe you'll see it in a future version of DBDOC.

How often/when should I rebuild?

A rebuild should be done after you have made any major changes to your system. Many of our users automate weekly or even daily builds in order to reflect all changes. After any build, you may send us your error file so we can confidentially analyze it for any possible system issues (see build analysis for more information).

Do I need training?

After a little time on the phone with one of our staff, most of our users happily go along using DBDOC with no formal training - they simply give us a call or email when questions come up. We do offer formal training classes both on-site and in central locations. Users from both large and small sites who have attended these have found them very useful.
