Running MediaView compiler

Running MediaView compiler

A partial build can be completed to produce an M14 file when there is a DBDOC.MVP file in the project directory, and temporary files have not been cleaned up.

There are several ways to run MediaView compile:

  • Click the toolbar button Buildplus mvcompilebutton.png, to run MediaView on the DBDOC.MVP for the current project. The M14 file will be opened and automatically renamed to include project name and build date, and temporary files will be deleted.
  • On the Build menu, click Build from MediaView Compile to run MediaView on the DBDOC.MVP for the current project. File DBDOC.M14 will be created but not automatically launched, and temporary files will be retained.
  • On the Tools menu, click MediaView Compile and select a DBDOC.MVP file (There doesn't need to be a project open.) File DBDOC.M14 will be created but not automatically launched, and temporary files will be retained.
  • Using the command line switch /compile
  • From the programs directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\GMCL\DBDOC\Programs, double click on file MVCC14N.exe to open the MediaView compiler. Select File, then Open, and browse to the DBDOC.MVP file you wish to run. Select Compile, then Start to run MediaView compiler and create an M14 file. File DBDOC.M14 will be created but not automatically launched, and temporary files are retained.
